Budgeting and financial planning
Budget Flow, explainedFactual product guide
A budgeting app built to answer one question: what can your money do next?
Budget Flow is a private, local-first budgeting and financial planning app created by Sameed. It brings transactions, category plans, bills, paydays, goals, debts, shared expenses, and forecasts into one connected system.
iOS web app, signed Android APK, macOS web app
Local-first and account-free
On-device and confirmation-led
Who should consider Budget Flow?
Budget Flow is designed for people who need more than expense totals but do not want to surrender their financial records to receive useful guidance.
People who want budgeting without an account.
The working budget lives on the device. No hosted profile, telemetry stream, or advertising identity is required.
People who plan around paydays and obligations.
Confirmed bills and income form an exact scheduled path while flexible spending remains a clearly labeled simulated range.
People managing debt, goals, refunds, and shared costs.
Debt movement, savings transfers, reimbursements, partial repayments, variable bills, and irregular income retain their real financial meaning.
People who want assistance without invisible decisions.
Suggestions remain editable, low-confidence models can abstain, and what-if scenarios change nothing until the user explicitly applies them.
Every recommendation should point to evidence.

Common questions about Budget Flow
Is Budget Flow a budgeting app or an expense tracker?
It is both, but its scope is broader than expense tracking. Budget Flow connects transaction records with category plans, upcoming bills and income, goals, debt, shared expenses, and forecasts.
Does Budget Flow require a bank connection?
No bank connection is required. Budget Flow supports manual and natural-language transaction entry, templates, imports, and other local workflows documented on the features page.
Does Budget Flow require an account?
No. The app is designed to work without a hosted account. Its working financial data stays on the user’s device.
Does Budget Flow send financial data to a cloud AI service?
Only if you turn Ask Budget Flow on, and only what that question needs. Flow Intelligence — the exact calculations, the natural-entry parser, the category model and the forecasts — runs locally and sends nothing. Ask Budget Flow is a separate, optional feature that ships turned off; with it on, the question you typed, a page of totals it needs, and the matching part of Budget Flow’s own documentation are sent to Budget Flow’s hosted service, which asks Google’s Gemini model for the wording. The arithmetic is already done on the device, and an answer quoting a figure the device did not supply is discarded.
Can Budget Flow help with future cash flow?
Yes. It combines a certain path made from scheduled bills and income with a separately labeled simulated range for flexible spending.
Can users export or back up their data?
Yes. Budget Flow documents transaction CSV, reports, full archives, encrypted archives, receipt bundles, safety backups, restore, and user-chosen folder sync.
Is Budget Flow financial advice?
No. It is a personal budgeting and planning tool. Its calculations and scenarios help users understand their own records, but they are not individualized financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
